Message	the modern torque wrenches only carry a limited warranty because they are not considered 'hand tools'. The old-style torque wrenches from the 70's and 80's had lifetime warranties when they were sold, so Sears will still honor one replacement for that style torque wrench. Once you have a modern style 'clicker' torque wrench, it no longer carries the lifetime warranty. Heck, even the ladders back from the 70's had lifetime warranties stamped into the aluminum.
